Within the sixth Valencia Disseny Week the ADCV Association of Designers of the Valencian Community organized the exhibition “Design to the plate” in La Nau where we participated as designers of one of the 15 projects carried out by creative teams formed by designers of the ADCV, chefs and artisans, and have resulted in 15 containers designed specifically for the occasion and 15 unprecedented culinary creations.
We develop Fugu as a game of the senses, this surprise container warns, with the aroma that the dish leaves the irregular holes in its lid, which can contain without undiscovering it. Its gentle, organic and subtle forms resemble a marine being and contain potent, iodine and tender flavors: smoked tuna, tender habitas and algae juice. It is a piece turned by hand with texture of the material itself, stoneware with chamotte, claiming the rustic, in contrast to the subtle. A contrast present in both the container and the contents.
